Christmas and Cotton.

The tree exploding with presents!
Our first Christmas! We decided to play with the decorations outside...

Josh was so excited about his new camera!

On the way out to my Grandma's, we saw a huge cotton field; so, of course, we had to stop and snap pictures before heading home.

I'm so very thankful for this first Christmas with my husband AND with my family. Not many girls get the opportunity to have the best of both worlds, and I feel very blessed. It was truly a holiday filled with Christmas miracles, laughter, full bellies, and joy all around. I can only pray that the same peace that I feel will fill the hearts of those who may be suffering near and far tonight.

Gingerbread house decorating:

Please forgive my nails in desperate need of polish.

My parents and Josh and I had so much fun competing with each other while creating these houses. It was the perfect way to spend a lazy Christmas Eve morning.

Merry Christmas Eve!

Got to see my adorable nieces in their Christmas performance tonight. They bring my heart so much joy - especially since they were wearing their flower girl outfits from my wedding. :)

It's so good to be home in Florence. After spending all day adding last-minute details to Christmas presents, I went to visit my favorite girl-
at the new little cupcake shop here in town. It was so adorable that I couldn't resist walking back out to my car to grab my camera.

Who doesn't love a charming cupcake shop?

I love days when my kiddos and I can just have fun together. Those days don't happen very often, in fear that I will be considered not "rigorous" enough. Today, however, we lazed around, and I didn't feel at all guilty! We watched the Polar Express with hot cocoa in their new personalized mugs (complete with mini marshmallows). It was so nice!

After such a relaxing day with my students, I'm ready to fly home to South Carolina tonight to be with my parents for Christmas, even if it means being without my other half for a couple of nights until he's able to make his way home.

Sweet holidays!
